Studio Policy

  • Students should aim to arrive 10 minutes before their scheduled time to facilitate a fast changeover

  • Students, and anyone accompanying students, are expected to show courtesy and respect to myself and any others in the studio, and are not to be disruptive. All equipment should be treated with care; no abuse or mishandling of instruments will be tolerated. Repeated poor behaviour may result in lessons being discontinued.

  • I will provide a list of published materials that I expect all students to have.Students must bring their own copy of their music. My preference is for students to purchase their own copies. I can provide some printouts if necessary.
For younger students, no digital devices - all material must be an original book or a physical copy. Older students may use digital devices.

  • For regular students, fees are paid in advance for each school semester for a set number of hours. An invoice will be sent at the start of the lesson period with a due date one month from the first lesson. Non payment will result in cancellation of future lessons. For students not seen on a regular/ongoing basis, lesson-by-lesson payments can be arranged.

  • Cancellations must be made 24 hours before the scheduled lesson time. If a students cancels less than 24 hours before without a valid reason, the lesson will be considered forfeit. Makeup lessons will be given at discretion, refunds will only be given if the cancellation is made before 24 hours. More than three cancellations per semester may result in non-continuation of lessons. If I cancel a lesson, students are automatically entitled to a makeup lesson or refund of lost time.
